Searching

Use one search box, then read the case in context.

What can I search for?

Use a phone number, bank account, website, business or person’s name, or report reference. Enter one item at a time. Available results depend on what people have submitted and what is currently public.

How do I search for a person or business?

Enter the name as written in the report. Search can match names within public person and business records. Compare the circumstances and dates before assuming that a result refers to the person you mean.

Why are there no results?

There may be no public report matching the entry, the spelling may differ, or a report may have been hidden. No result is not a guarantee of reliability or safety.

How should I enter a phone number or website?

Use the number supplied by the other party, including its country code when available. For websites, try the main domain. Avoid combining a name, phone number, and explanation in one search.

Can I share a search result?

Open the relevant case and share its permanent case-page address. Search-session links expire and are not intended as permanent references. Check the case again for later updates.
